takis is an internationally  performance designer based in London, whose innovative and diverse body of work encompasses West End and leading UK theatres, Major International Musical, Opera and Ballet productions, that continually break new ground and raise the standard against which other productions are measured.

He has been nominated for best set design for the productions In The Heights (King’s Cross Theatre & Southwark playhouse), Fear (Bush Theatre), His Teeth (Only Connect) and Stovepipe (National Theatre/HighTide).

From 2007-2011 as designer in residence for HighTide, takis’ versatility shaped a catalogue of shows to great acclaim including the successful STOVEPIPE in collaboration with the National Theatre, DITCH with Old Vic and Lidless (Fringe First Award winner in Edinburgh Festival 2010).

For Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre as designer in residence (2010-2012), takis designed for a variety of Shakespearean plays as well as new writing productions.

As artistic director of ARTLUXE, he has designed and produced interdisciplinary  installations and performances across Europe, collaborating with organizations such as the Design Museums of both London & Helsinki, Hampton Court Palace and Greek International Festival of Ancient Drama.

takis studied Costume and Set Design at the Romanian National University of Arts in Bucharest and continued his studies at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art on the Theatre Technical Arts Course. He undertook practice based research at London College of Fashion, researching new methodologies of design in fashion and performance.
